Growing up in lake placid new york cam was surrounded by stories of athletes and the unqiue setting of be raised in an olympic town. Competition, outdoorsmanship, and go getters drove the community.
Cam Willis first picked up a camera to shoot ski films in high school. Which ultimately led him to Vermonts Champlain College to study Digital Filmmaking. that eventually opened opportunities to work with brands like K2 Skis, Ski The East, TGR, and X-Games. he won a X-games silver medal in their Real Ski film contest which at the time, was a huge milestone. That background shaped how he still works today: every shot is a one-take, no-do-over situation, and that discipline carries into everything he shoots now.
Cam is an Emmy-winning Director of Photography (The Science of Movement), with recent collaborators including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Warby Parker, Columbia Sportswear, Old Navy, JBL, and Warrior Sports.
Based between New York City and the Catskills, Cam is non-union and travels globally for production.
Cam has bilt extensive relationships at rental houses around the world — every production has different requirements, and Cam ensures the correct crew, camera, and light package is chosen for each individual project.
